There are an infinite number of reasons we give ourselves for why we can't do something. We become so focused on some of those reasons that we are blind to why we can.If we tell ourselves something, our brain accepts it as truth.
When we ask ourselves a question, our brains accept the challenge and seek an answer.
Instead of saying "I can't . . .," ask "How can I . . . ?"

When I reached retirement I discovered that I couldn't afford travel to visit my three children or the many places I had read about during the years of my career. So, I'm making up retirement as I go--as a footloose and fancy free, self-employed entrepreneur. Now I can make a living while I'm free to travel and have fun like a traditional retiree.
